Vegetation Management at Piscassic Greenway

Vegetation management has begun at Piscassic Greenway off the Byrne Trail, which you may noticed from the caution tape and flagging.

What is vegetation management? It is a forest management practice that creates wildlife habitat openings for ground and shrub nesting birds and provides flowers and seeds pollinators insects and animals.

This is an important strategy to help SELT’s fee lands become more resilient to climate change and create early successional habitat for declining wildlife populations.
