Vegetative Management Completed at Piscassic Greenway

Vegetative Management has been completed off the Byrne Trail and the Byrne Spur. In addition, educational signage is also in place.

This early successional habitat was completed to enhance wildlife openings especially for ground nesting birds such as woodcock (Timberdoodles) and whippoorwills.

This work also will encourage shrubland and blooming wildflowers for pollinators like bees and butterflies.  A total of about 13 acres was treated in the last two  years with the help of funds from the NRCS RCPP (Regional Conservation Partnership Program).
