UPDATE - Stonehouse Pond Road Gate Closed for the Season on November 13

Our friends at New Hampshire Fish and Game will be closing and locking the gate at the entrance of the Stonehouse Pond access road on Monday November 13 for the winter.  

The gate will stay locked until mud season is over next year. We will let everyone know when the gate will be unlocked next year.

Trail maintenance at the Piscassic Greenway

We have a quick update about some trail maintenance at the Piscassic Greenway. Starting today, June 1, and for the next next few days, there will a contractor doing tread work on the Class A trail portion of Halls Mill Road in Newfields.  Please keep aware when using this section of the trails. IMPORTANT: A Quick Note About SELT Trail Blazes

Our staff and volunteers have been busy these last few weeks performing trail maintenance on our properties in preparation for what is sure to be another busy season of trail use. Recently, at the Mraz Loop at the Piscassic Greenway, we noticed that someone had removed our trail blazes and painted new blazes on nearby trees.  Trail blazes are the round colored signs that help users navigate the trail systems; SELT uses metal blaze signs attached with light-weight aluminum nails, not painted blazes. While we know that this may have been done with the intention to help, we would ask our users to refrain from removing blazes and other SELT signage from our properties and not paint the trees.
