IMPORTANT: A Quick Note About SELT Trail Blazes

Our staff and volunteers have been busy these last few weeks performing trail maintenance on our properties in preparation for what is sure to be another busy season of trail use. Recently, at the Mraz Loop at the Piscassic Greenway, we noticed that someone had removed our trail blazes and painted new blazes on nearby trees.

Trail blazes are the round colored signs that help users navigate the trail systems; SELT uses metal blaze signs attached with light-weight aluminum nails, not painted blazes.

While we know that this may have been done with the intention to help, we would ask our users to refrain from removing blazes and other SELT signage from our properties and not paint the trees.

Thank you for your understanding and if you have any questions please feel free to email us at trails@seltnh.org.

If you're interested in helping out with trail maintenance on our properties, SELT's Trails and Community Engagement Manager Yohann Hanley would love to get you involved and has many opportunities available.

Email Yohann at yohann@selth.org.
