About those Safety Zone Signs

Have you noticed some of these safety zone signs pop up on portions of SELT's properties?

This might initially be concerning if you use SELT's lands for hunting but please note that this does not mean that a property is closed to hunting or that hunters are losing the privilege to use an established accessway.

The signs simply help SELT provide a courtesy to neighbors, guiding hunting to more appropriate parts of the property and away from residential areas. If the signed area is otherwise open to the public, passing through the area with the intent to hunt away from the safety zone is allowed.

We try to make sure our properties reflect the uses that are important to folks in the community - the safety zone signs help us make sure we are also being good neighbors.
